GILLETTE, Wyo. — The National Weather Service in Rapid City, South Dakota, is predicting a weekend of good weather ahead for Gillette-area residents.
Today will be sunny, with temperatures that are expected to reach a high near 77 degrees in the afternoon. Light and variable winds will become northern winds of 5–7 mph in the afternoon.
At night, temperatures will fall to a low of around 44 degrees, the NWS in Rapid City reports. The winds are expected to pick up strength at night as well, with gusts of up to 25 mph possible.
Sunday will be even warmer, as the NWS in Rapid City predicts high temperatures of 82 degrees. Moderate wind gusts could reach 15 mph throughout the afternoon.
Sunday night will see temperatures drop to the low 50s while skies remain mostly clear.
