GILLETTE, Wyo. — Campbell County High School students cheered and waved as floats rounded corners in this year’s homecoming parade.

Parade participants included members of the Homecoming Court, athletes and musicians. Staff and a contingent of Campbell County elementary school students were also among those who walked, rode or drove in the parade.

Today was also “Hump Day” for students who wanted to show school spirit with purple and gold, according to a post on the school’s website. There was an assembly before the parade as well. Sept 14 is “Anything but a backpack” day, where students who donate a food or toiletry item will be entered to win a new backpack full of Camel gear, while Sept. 15 has the theme of “‘Merica!”

These are just a few of the pictures County 17 reporter Mary Stroka took of the parade. To see more, check out County 17’s Facebook album here.
