Gillette-born physician assistant returns to join CCMG ENT Clinic

Kyle Hunter, PA (Campbell County Medical Group)

GILLETTE, Wyo. — Campbell County Medical Group’s Ear, Nose, and Throat Clinic has a new physician assistant, the healthcare organization announced Wednesday.

Gillette native Kyle Hunter, PA, has returned to his hometown after spending 18 years practicing in Colorado, bringing a wealth of experience to the CCMG ENT Clinic and northeastern Wyoming, according to a Sept. 13 release.

Hunter’s journey to a career in healthcare has been deeply rooted in his local community, CCMG says, adding that his passion for healthcare was sparked through a mentorship program with the radiology department at the local hospital.

His healthcare career began at Campbell County Memorial Hospital after he completed his undergraduate studies. For a year and a half, he worked in the laboratory, where his passion for healthcare was fueled further by interacting with and caring for patients from the unique perspective offered by his role.

Spurred on by a desire to become a provider stemming from the problem-solving and interpersonal aspects of healthcare, he continued his educational journey with coursework through Gillette College and eventually applied to physician assistant programs, per CCMG.

Hunter completed his PA studies at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tennessee, CCMG says.

According to the release, building trust and developing collaborative relationships with patients are core parts of Hunter’s approach to patient care and he enjoys the complexity of ENT work as well as the wide range of patients he encounters in his work.

“I developed a niche for seeing patients with dizziness and vertigo problems,” Hunter said in a statement. “I enjoy all aspects of ENT, and I’ve been able to grow in the specialty and hone different skills and procedures.”

He said it feels nice to have the opportunity to return to Gillette and use what he’s learned to serve the community, per the release.

“CCMG is excited to welcome [Hunter] back to Gillette and looks forward to the positive impact he will have on patient care in the ENT Clinic,” the release states, adding that his commitment to building relationships and dedication to healthcare make him a valued addition.
