GILLETTE, Wyo. — A 57-year-old woman was charged Sept. 9 with felony destruction of property after she caused more than $1,000 by scratching a vehicle with a pen, Gillette Deputy Police Chief Brent Wasson said this morning.

Officers responded at midnight Sept. 9 to a 48-year-old man’s report that he and the woman, Stephanie Simmons, got into a verbal altercation at Legends Lounge, Wasson said. The woman left the restaurant and sports bar. Two witnesses reported the woman scratching the man’s 2010 Chevrolet Camaro.

Officers found Simmons on the 200 block of Foothills Circle, Wasson said. She admitted to using a pen and scratching the vehicle. She was arrested and taken to the jail.
