GILLETTE, Wyo. — Gillette-area residents will be able to enjoy the Labor Day weekend with clear skies overhead. The National Weather Service in Rapid City, South Dakota, predicts sunny weather in the coming days.
Today will be sunny, with a high near 93 degrees. Southwest winds of 14–17 mph will move into the area throughout the day, with moderately strong gusts of up to 25 mph possible.
At night, temperatures will drop to a low of around 61 degrees. Skies will remain mostly clear past sundown.
Sunday will again be sunny, with temperatures eclipsing 90 degrees. Wind gusts of up to 21 mph are possible, the NWS in Rapid City reports.
Sunday night brings with it the weekend’s first possibility of rain, as there is a slight 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms before midnight. Skies will remain partly cloudy, with a low around 58 degrees.
