GILLETTE, Wyo. — The Campbell County Fire Department responded to the following incidents on Thursday, Aug. 31:
- At 1:27 a.m. to Nepstad Drive for an emergency medical response.
- At 6:16 a.m. to the 300 block of Force Road for a reported fire. Firefighters were unable to find a fire in the area.
- At 7:27 a.m. to East Lincoln Street for an emergency medical response.
- At 3:19 p.m. to the 100 block of LVB Road for a structure fire. Firefighters arrived to a single-wide mobile home, a camp trailer, a passenger vehicle and a shed fully involved in fire. The mobile home was vacant. The residents were home at the time in another nearby house. Firefighters were able to keep the fire from extending to the occupied house, which sustained moderate radiant heat damage. Two other vehicles also sustained radiant heat damage. The fire spread to the grass and burned approximately 0.2 acres. The fire was controlled after one hour. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
- At 6:07 p.m. to the 300 block of Sagebluffs Drive for an activated fire alarm.
- At 8:12 p.m. to East 6th Street for an emergency medical response.
- At 9:15 p.m. to the 100 block of North Highway14-16 for a small oil spill in the roadway. Firefighters contained the spill.
Year to date, the Campbell County Fire Department has responded to 1,916 requests for service.
