GILLETTE, Wyo. — Gillette-area residents can expect a hazy and breezy weekend over the coming days, according to forecasts from the National Weather Service in Rapid City, South Dakota.
Today, the area will likely see widespread haze as temperatures climb to a high of 83 degrees. Winds moving in at 7–10 mph from the northeast will shift to the east as the day progresses. Wind gusts could blow as high as 20 mph throughout the day.
The day will be mostly sunny, but in the evening the area may see some precipitation, as the NWS in Rapid City reports a likelihood of showers beginning slightly after 8 p.m.
Sunday will again see haze envelop the area. Skies will be mostly cloudy, with conditions reaching a high of roughly 80. Strong winds will make the day feel cooler, though, as gusts upwards of 20 mph are expected.
At night, temperatures will drop to around 62, and winds will become even stronger. The NWS in Rapid City reports that gusts of up to 35 mph will become possible after sundown.
