GILLETTE, Wyo. — This afternoon, Campbell County Parks and Recreation released the results of several Fourth of July activities that took place in Gillette this morning, along with some photos.
Gillette Physical Therapy’s 4-mile run/walk
Post-parade activities:
Strongwoman challenge:
- Sarah Rhoden: 290 points
- Victoria Reyes and Loreana Mendenhill: 260 points. Reyes broke the tie with a boulder throw of 8 feet, 1 inch, compared with Mendenhill’s throw of 7 feet, 10 inches.
Strongman challenge:
- David Hodge: 270 points. He broke a tie with two boulder throw-offs. The first was 6 feet, 7 inches, and the second was 7 feet, 3 inches.
- Chris Day: 270 points. He broke a tie with two boulder throw-offs. The first was 6 feet, 7 inches, and the second was 5 feet.
- Corey Mayer: 260 points
Pie Eating Contests:
- First round: Shawn Curtis
- Second round: Serenity Curtis
- Third round: Lilia Gerster

The original information from the department stated Chris Day won second place and third place. The article above has been corrected. Cotton also said in her July 4 email that Campbell County Parks and Recreation didn’t get some pictures of the winners due to the rain.
