GILLETTE, Wyo. — GPX All Star Cheerleading, a competitive cheer team in Gillette, will have a community impact night fundraiser from 4 to 9 p.m. June 12 at Pizza Ranch, 100 W. 2nd St., Gillette.

Katey Stevenson, a cheer program parent, is leading the fundraiser this year. She said GPX is raising money for new equipment to help the girls grow in their skills. The gym also wants to purchase foldable bleachers to accommodate a growing group of parents who attend performances. The gym moved into its new space in January and had a grand opening in April. There are five competitive cheer teams that range in skill level.

The traveling team’s upcoming season runs from July 2023 through May 2024, according to the team’s website. Costs include gym fees, administrative fees, coaches pay and travel. The Prep Team has two out-of-state competitions, while All Star Elite has five.
