GILLETTE, Wyo. — One person is dead following a May 27 vehicle crash in Sweetwater County.
The incident took place at 11:25 a.m. on West Flaming Gorge Way, Interstate 80 Bus/US 30 Bus Route at milepost 90.97, according to a Wyoming Highway Patrol incident report. Green River is listed as the nearest city.
Per the report, a Chevrolet S10 was eastbound on East Fleming Gorge Way when it crossed over into the westbound travel lane. The S10 struck a Nissan Rogue and then impacted a tree.
Ernest Adams, 65, of Wyoming was identified as the driver and only fatality.
The WHP lists road conditions as being dry and clear. Adams was not using a seatbelt at the time of the crash, the report states.
