GILLETTE, Wyo. — A woman was hospitalized in the afternoon on June 1 following a collision at the intersection of West Boxelder Road and Skyline Drive, Gillette Deputy Police Chief Brent Wasson said Friday.
The woman was driving east in a Ford Edge on Skyline Drive around 4:35 p.m. June 1 when a 38-year-old woman in a westbound 2017 Chevrolet failed to see her and proceeded through the intersection on West Boxelder Road, Wasson said.
The vehicles collided, resulting in over $1,000 in damage. The 26-year-old woman was transported to the hospital for a head injury, according to Wasson.
Wasson said the 38-year-old woman was issued a ticket for failing to yield.
