GILLETTE, Wyo. — Free summer open swim sessions will resume at the Campbell County Recreation Center next week.
Beginning Tuesday, May 30, entry fees will be waived for pool patrons on weekdays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and on weekends from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., according to the City of Gillette, though other designated open swim sessions will remain exclusively for pass holders or paying customers.
Free open swim sessions were approved through an agreement between the Gillette City Council and Campbell County Parks and Recreation in summer 2022. The agreement was made to provide residents with a free swimming option while the Gillette City Pool is closed for demolition and construction.
