High school graduation is a monumental milestone in every student’s life. It represents years of hard work, growth, and countless memories.
As a photographer, there is no better way to honor and celebrate high school seniors than by capturing their unique personalities and preserving these precious moments. As a photographer, I have had the privilege of working with and getting to know many high school seniors in Gillette. As these students look forward to their ceremony this upcoming weekend, I invite the city of Gillette and the students’ friends and family to celebrate these three individuals for their accomplishments. Each high school senior has a story to tell, and each of these seniors has a unique story I was able to help capture during their session.
As a photographer, I take pride in capturing stories and soaking up the moments I spend with each client.
Please take a moment to celebrate and get to know about a few of Gillette’s newest high school graduates:
Tricia
Tricia is one of the most kind individuals that truly radiates when you meet her. She worked so hard during her high school career that she was able to graduate with both her associate’s and her high school diploma. Tricia asked to do her senior photos in Spearfish Canyon during the fall.
As a lover of all things pumpkin and falling leaves, of course I said yes! We had an amazing time driving up the canyon and stopping at different locations that were important to her and provided us with a beautiful backdrop. I cannot thank her parents enough for sharing their beautiful daughter. Congratulations Tricia, you will do amazing things!

Sheldon
Another senior I wanted to highlight is Sheldon. Sheldon is very laid back and enjoys living in the moment. I admire his ability to be present and make the best of every moment. I had the pleasure of doing two sessions with Sheldon, one in Spearfish and one in Gillette. Sheldon is an explorer and up for anything.
During his Spearfish shoot, we made our way to Bridal Falls; once we arrived we both agreed it would be “totally worth it” to walk through the cold fall water and make our way right up to the waterfall. Sheldon helped to contribute to one of my best memories as a photographer when he told me it was his first time seeing a waterfall. I’m so glad I could be there and capture that moment.
Molli
Last but certainly not least is this beautiful girl named Molli. Molli is a true gem and a hard worker who is up for anything. Molli came to me with a request to incorporate her car into her photos. While at this time this was a new “challenge” to me, I always want to bring my clients’ visions to life.
Molli came to me a little shy but ended her session with confidence and beaming. She was always up for anything. I was able to say, “Hey, go park your car there and let’s get the shot before someone drives by,” and she would do it with the biggest smile on her face. Molli taught me so much as a photographer and I admire her willingness to always go with the flow.
Each of these seniors has a unique story to tell and I have genuinely enjoyed being able to capture that on camera. Congratulations to Patricia, Sheldon and Molli for being part of the graduating class of 2023!
