GILLETTE, Wyo. — Runners and walkers will be called to the Durham Buffalo Ranch in early June for the 22nd Annual Buffalo Stampede fundraiser.
The event, put on by the Powder River Energy Foundation, seeks to raise money for critical community needs in northeast Wyoming by challenging runners and walkers on the open-range course 4 miles north of Wright on Saturday, June 3, according to a May 19 press release.
Participants will have the option of competing either in the 5-kilometer run/walk or the 10-kilometer run, per the release.
To pre-register, interested parties can sign up before Friday, May 26 by calling the Campbell County Recreation Center in Gillette or the Wright Recreation Center, the release states.
Prior to May 26, participation costs $25 per person or $50 per family. After that date, participation costs increase to $30 per person or $60 per family, according to the release.
Event-day registration begins at 7:30 a.m. on June 3. All paid registrants receive a T-shirt and breakfast the morning of the run and are automatically entered in the drawings for door prizes.
