Gillette airport to hold planes, motorcycles showcase

GILLETTE, Wyo. — The Northeast Wyoming Regional Airport will hold the Third Annual Wings and Wheels event from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 15.

The free event features food and drink vendors along with plenty of planes, cars and motorcycles, the Facebook event post said.

Airport board updates

The airport’s executive director, Todd Chatfield, said in a report for the board’s May 17 meeting that with 4,550 passengers in April, airport traffic so far for 2023 is up 18% over 2022’s same months. The total so far for 2023 is 17,526 passengers.

The board’s next meeting will be at 4 p.m. June 21 at the new General Aviation Building, 2000 Airport Road Building 16, Gillette.
