GILLETTE, Wyo. — Shell Rotella, a line of heavy-duty engine lubrication products, will showcase how beautiful trucks can be in a June 8–10 contest in Gillette.
The 41st Annual Shell Rotella SuperRigs contestants, their families and the community can see some of the best-looking and hardest-working active big rigs in North America in the three-day event that will take place at CAM-PLEX, 1635 Reata Drive, Gillette, according to a news release.
“The weekend is designed to be fun for the whole family,” the release said.
Activities include a truck parade and drone light show June 9. There will also be musical entertainment, including The Pillage People.
Division categories include tractor, limited mileage, best of show and show truck, according to the Facebook event posting. The specialty categories are Best Chrome, Best Engine, Best Interior, Best Lights, Best Theme, Hardest Working Trucker and People’s Choice.
The Shell Rotella SuperRigs event is free to enter, as long as trucks comply with eligibility rules. Owner/operator truckers from across the U.S. and Canada compete for more than $25,000 in cash and prizes. Twelve drivers’ trucks will be part of the 2024 Shell Rotella SuperRigs Calendar. That calendar will also feature stunning views of sites around Gillette, including Campbell County Rockpile Museum, as Director Robert Henning announced at the museum’s May 16 board meeting.
