GILLETTE, Wyo. — There are rising chances for rain today in Gillette, including the possibility of a thunderstorm between noon and 3 p.m.

The forecast from the National Weather Service in Rapid City, South Dakota, says there’s a 30% chance for showers before noon, climbing to 60% for the remainder of the day. Clouds will be rolling in this morning, and that will help limit the high to around 69 degrees. Winds will also pick up from 8–13 mph this morning to 17–22 mph this afternoon. Gusts could reach 30 mph.

Tonight will see the low fall to around 44 degrees under mostly cloudy skies. Breezy conditions are expected to continue.

The sun will come out the rest of the week with Thursday seeing a high of 65, Friday a high of 69 and Saturday and Sunday highs of 78 degrees. Overnight each night will see temperatures in the mid- to upper 40s. Breezy conditions are expected Friday.
