GILLETTE, Wyo. — Several high school students will be among the hundreds of individuals graduating this evening with a degree from Gillette College.

Board of Cooperative Higher Education Services Executive Director Jeff Wasserburger said today that the following individuals have earned an associate’s degree before they’ve graduated from a Campbell County high school:

  • Gwen Andela
  • Jillian Blankenbush
  • Abigail Gonzalez
  • Iracel Gonzalez
  • Patricia Hill
  • Guinevere Lee
  • Shantel Smith
  • Zoey Soost
  • Isabelle Sullivan
  • Jazlynn Trolla
  • Alexia Wenzel

Thunder Basin High School senior Rachel Cole also is graduating with an associate’s degree, her father said.

The graduation ceremonies begin at 7 p.m. in the college’s Pronghorn Center at 3807 College Drive, Gillette.

Executive Assistant to the President Elly Henning said the total graduate count exceeds 200.

Clarification, May 12: Rachel Cole, a Thunder Basin High School senior graduating with an associate’s degree from Gillette College, was not originally listed, as her name didn’t appear in the copy of the speech Wasserburger provided to County 17. Cole didn’t participate in commencement ceremonies tonight because she is playing for the Bolts in the Class 4A East Regional Soccer Championship tournament in Sheridan this week, her father said. Cole is also a valedictorian for Thunder Basin this year, he said.
