GILLETTE, Wyo. — Starting Monday, Fir Avenue between 1st Street and Highway 14-16 will close to traffic until mid-summer, according to the City of Gillette.

As of April 27, the closure will run from May 1 to July 1 for a sewer improvement project, to be completed by Hot Iron Inc., per the city.

With the closure, access to Fir Avenue from Highway 14-16 and the intersection of Fir Avenue and 1st Street will be closed to traffic, the city says.

According to the project map, the closure will also include business entrances along Fir Avenue, though access to the businesses from other streets and parking lots will remain open.
