GILLETTE, Wyo. — Applications for a free summer program to introduce community youth to healthcare careers are now open, according to Campbell County Health.
Until May 19, applications will be accepted for participation in Camp Med, a one-day summer camp where youth visit medical departments, tour emergency medical services and learn CPR, CCH says.
There are three sessions scheduled for summer 2023, taking place on June 20, July 11 and July 18. All sessions will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and, as of April 25, there are 12 slots available per session, according to CCH.
Applicants must be 11 or 12 years of age, CCH says, and previous campers are not allowed to participate so others have a chance to attend.
Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis and can be turned in at Campbell County Memorial Hospital, either at the PBX in the lobby or in Marketing and Communications to Volunteer Services Coordinator Christ Buxton, according to CCH.
