GILLETTE, Wyo. — Most staff at Campbell County Health are no longer required to wear masks when providing patient care, the healthcare organization announced Friday.
The decision was made on April 21 by the CCH Board of Trustees. With it, staff at nearly all CCH facilities with the exception of the Legacy Living and Rehabilitation Center are no longer required to wear masks.
Legacy masking requirements will continue, per CCH, which says the regulatory bodies have slightly different regulations regarding masking in long-term-care facilities versus hospitals.
The board decision will stand unless CCH lab positivity levels, county community rates, or CDC Community Transmission levels dictate otherwise, according to an April 21 release.
“CCH leadership has been working diligently to address community members’ and employees’ concerns and input,” CCH said in a statement. “Anyone who wishes to continue masking is, of course, welcome to continue doing so.”
