GILLETTE, Wyo. — On Wednesday, the Northeast Wyoming Regional Airport Board chose a company that will provide aviation services for noncommercial flights under a 20-year lease.

GateOne gained the lease for the airport’s Fixed Base Operations terminal, according to a news release the airport posted today. The Fixed Base Operating terminal provides aviation services from a private company leasing from the airport authority, such as the Northeast Wyoming Regional Airport Board.

“Leasing the FBO allows a company to provide private flights, hanger space, fueling services and terminal operations to noncommercial flights,” the release said.

GateOne, which was established in 2015, has three other locations, which are in Texas, Utah and Arizona, the release said. It brings extensive knowledge of aviation operations, needs of pilots and aircraft maintenance. It also has a diverse customer base.

GateOne owner Thomas Mathew has nearly 40 years of aviation experience and a strong history in fixed base operations services.

“Mr. Mathew and GateOne are driven to grow the private and commercial business through the FBO lease with Northeast Wyoming Regional Airport,” the release said. “His personal history in the aviation industry and customer-centered approach to growth and sustainability provide essential ingredients to a successful partnership.”

GateOne will begin operating the terminal July 1.
