GILLETTE, Wyo. — The Campbell County Chamber of Commerce announced that as it’s preparing for its annual award banquet, it invites the public to nominate their favorite business for an award.
The deadline to vote is May 15. The nomination form is here.
Campbell County Chamber of Commerce Programs and Events Manager Tracy Mathews said that technically only chamber members’ nominations count, but many people don’t realize they are chamber members. For example, the school district is a chamber member, so every school district employee is a member, she said.
Therefore, the form asks people to identify what business they work for when they make nominations for the awards, which are as follows:
- Chamber Award of Excellence – Large Business
- Chamber Award of Excellence – Small Business
- Business Excellence in Customer Service Award
- Sherry McGrath Spirit of Gillette
- NEWCA Project of the Year
The form describes the qualifications for the awards.
“Don’t feel shy about bragging about your employer or nominating yourself,” Mathews said. “We all need to toot our own horns every now and then.”
