GILLETTE, Wyo. — Volunteers logged over 8,100 hours at Campbell County Health last year, the healthcare organization announced Monday.

According to CCH, volunteers dedicated 339 days or 8,141 hours to patients, staff and departments in 2022. With April 16 marking the start of National Volunteer Week, CCH said that it wishes to thank all those who have dedicated time and energy to CCH and the patients it serves.

“Nearly an entire year’s worth of time, dedication, and compassion were committed to CCH by our volunteers over the past [12] months,” said CCH Volunteer Services Coordinator Chris Buxton. “I am incredibly thankful for the enthusiasm and support our volunteers bring to CCH. They define providing Excellence Every Day.”

When asked by CCH about their reasons for volunteering, volunteer answers included spending time with others, meeting new people, helping those in need, and giving back to the community, the healthcare organization said.

Others, CCH says, expressed similar thoughts of fulfillment, enjoyment, and purpose in what they contribute at CCH.

“Always humble, our volunteers shared that their work is simply a small way in which they wish to give back and contribute,” CCH said. “[Our] volunteers do much more than help in a small way; they are a fundamental part of this organization and the community, and their work is nothing short of profound.”

Those interested in volunteering at CCH can apply on the healthcare organization’s website or can reach out to Buxton directly at (307) 688-1536.
