GILLETTE, Wyo. — A committee published a report today regarding what the community and subject matter experts envision for the future of Gillette.
There are 40 goals across six categories: industry, healthcare, education, tourism, smart growth and transportation.
The Vision 2040 Steering Committee coordinated with the Wyoming Business Council to complete a community review, a public town hall and workshop, and action planning.
The community review occurred in April 2022 through listening sessions and a public town hall. At a Nov. 10, 2022, workshop, attendees developed sub-themes for the six topics. In the first quarter of 2023, Vision 2040 subcommittees developed an action plan with several line items for each theme that would address community feedback.
Here are the results.
