GILLETTE, Wyo. — Wyoming Highway Patrol troopers brought messages of safety to the 2,000 attendees at this year’s annual Children’s Festival earlier this month.

On March 11, Troopers Dollick and Hawn taught children the importance of properly wearing their seatbelts by using the Seatbelt Convincer. They also taught the importance of driving sober using the four levels of intoxication via goggles. Children and adults also participated in two tests: walking in a straight line and throwing a ball into a bucket.

“A total of $490 was donated towards next year’s Safety and Learning event,” the Wyoming Highway Patrol said in a social media message.
