Theft, March 27, Highway 14-16, GPD
A 74-year-old man called the police around 7 a.m. yesterday morning to report around $2,000 worth of Milwaukee and DeWalt tools had been stolen from a 2013 Nissan pickup at some point overnight, Police Detective Cpl. Dan Stroup said. The investigation is ongoing.
Theft, March 27, Camel Drive, GPD
Officers responded to Campbell County High School after a 30-year-old man called to report a class-project lawn mower had been stolen around 9:28 a.m., Stroup said. The man believed a 17-year-old boy had taken the lawn mower without permission. The investigation is ongoing.
Identity theft, March 27, Glock Avenue, GPD
A 44-year-old woman called the police yesterday at 10:11 a.m. after allegedly discovering two lines of credit had been opened in her name without her knowledge, Stroup said. As of the time of the report, around $1,800 in credit had been used. The investigation is ongoing.
Theft, March 27, Elkhorn Drive, Wright, CCSO
A 41-year-old man called the sheriff’s office yesterday to report a unit was broken into by unknown suspects who reportedly stole $200 worth of Makita tools around 11:16 a.m., Undersheriff Quentin Reynolds said. The suspects reportedly stole a drill press and a portable router. The investigation is ongoing.
DWUI, March 27, E. Boxelder Road, CCSO
Deputies arrested a 34-year-old woman at 11:46 a.m. for impaired driving and possession of marijuana after she was called in as a potential drunk driver while operating a red Nissan near the Equestrian Park on E. Boxelder Road, Reynolds said. The woman reportedly admitted to consuming alcohol and smoking marijuana approximately 3 hours beforehand. She was taken into custody after failing field sobriety tests, per Reynolds.
Theft, March 27, E. Lakeway Road, GPD
A homemade wooden chair, valued at $3,900, was reportedly stolen off a flatbed trailer on E. Lakeway Road yesterday between 3:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Sundasy, Stroup said. The theft was reported by a 51-year-old woman at 1:27 p.m. March 27. Police detectives will be following up.
Property destruction, March 27, Bishop Road, CCSO
A 29-year-old man called the sheriff’s office around 5:57 p.m. last night after finding a six-inch lag screw drilled into the fuel tank of his 2012 Ford F-150 at Belle Ayr Mine, Reynolds said. The damage was estimated to be over $1,000, and the investigation is ongoing.
