GILLETTE, Wyo. — Wyoming Small Business Development Center Network, which helps business communities recover, rebuild and diversify, now provides small businesses with professional marketing consulting.
The Wyoming Community Navigator Program announced on March 22 that it can provide qualified small business owners with strategic marketing resources. According to the news release, the program can reimburse a marketing consultant to assist in developing and deploying a custom marketing strategy, including messaging, developing digital marketing templates and e-commerce consulting. Small business owners can then create a long-term, systematic marketing plan. While marketing is crucial for successful entrepreneurship, small business owners often lack the time, expertise, and funds to develop a targeted and long-term marketing strategy plan.
“Marketing may be one of the most underrated business practices,” CNP Advising and Education Director Mandy Bailey said. “Often times business owners are so busy working in their business that they don’t work on their business. Our professional marketing consultants are skilled at helping small businesses develop tools to do both.”
Marketing consultation services are specifically targeted towards CNP entrepreneurs, which includes traditionally underserved segments such as minorities, women, veterans, rural entrepreneurs and micro businesses.
The U.S. Small Business Administration selected the Wyoming Small Business Development Center from more than 700 nationwide applicants to operate the $2.5 million Community Navigator Pilot Program, which the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 created. Funding will be used over two years.
