GILLETTE, Wyo. – The City of Gillette is looking to fill three open citizen advisory board openings and is asking those interested in volunteering to submit an application.
As of March 17, there are currently three openings, two for the City Board of Adjustment and another for the Campbell County Lodging Tax Joint Powers Board, according to the city.
One of the available adjustment board openings expires later this year, but the other and the lodging tax board opening both expire on December 31, 2025, the city says.
The adjustment board carries the authority to grant variances from the city’s zoning ordinance. It meets every third Tuesday of the month on an as-needed basis at 7 p.m. at City Hall, according to the city, which says applicants must be city residents.
The lodging tax board, on the other hand, meets in the Cam-Plex Energy Hall conference room on the second Thursday of every month, per the announcement. There are no residency requirements for the lodging tax board.
Those interested in applying can submit their applications either via email at admn@gillettewy.gov or in person at City Hall no later than March 31, 2023, per the city. Applications can be found on the city website or in the Administration Office at City Hall.
