GILLETTE, Wyo. — Northeast Wyoming Regional Airport is seeking a new marketing firm.
“We are unhappy with the company we use now and hope to find another company to replace them,” Director Todd Chatfield said in his February report to the board.
Proposals are due by 2 p.m. March 20. The Request for Qualifications document may be obtained from the Northeast Wyoming Regional Airport Administration Office, 2000 Airport Road, Suite 108, Gillette, WY 82716, the airport reported.
Passenger counts
Director Todd Chatfield said the airport saw 4,112 passengers in February, which is a 30% increase over February 2022. The airport had 4,015 passengers go through the airport in January, which was a 49% increase over January 2022.
“Hopefully, these numbers will stay up,” he said. “March, April, and May are also looking to be good months for air traffic.”

The airport had 4,119 passengers go through the airport in December 2022, which brought the year’s total to 48,108 passengers. While the airport was down 1% in total passengers compared to 2021 and 28% from 2019, it was 47% over the year 2020 numbers.
The board’s next meeting is at 4 p.m. April 19 at the new General Aviation Building, 2000 Airport Road building 16, Gillette.
