GILLETTE, Wyo. — Unless he can get significant volunteer support, the organizer of the Red, White and Blue charity barbecue that kicks off the Campbell County Fair and raises funding for the local VFW hall said he’ll have to cancel the event.
“I would probably need 10 or more heavily committed people,” Andy Kraycsir said. “I have people who say they want to help, but, at the end, I need people taking the tasks and getting things done. It’s so hard.”
He said that over the course of the event’s history, it’s raised $60,000 for the VFW hall. That doesn’t include the raffle items that were also raised, he said.
