Snow likely throughout coming days

GILLETTE, Wyo. — Gillette residents can expect to see winter weather throughout the coming week, with the National Weather Service calling for snowfall over the next several days.

There’s a 50% chance of snow on Monday throughout the day, though a high temperature of above 40 will temper the snowfall. Meanwhile, strong winds with gusts above 35 mph will make conditions feel considerably chillier.

The chance of snow is only expected to grow by Tuesday, with a 60% chance of snow, primarily after 11 a.m. Winds will remain strong, with gusts of 32 mph in the forecast as well.

Over Tuesday night, the chance of snowfall will grow to a near-certainty, with a 90% chance of snow after dark on Tuesday night. And by Wednesday, the chance will have grown into a sure thing, with the NWS calling for a 100% chance of snow throughout the day.

Today, isolated patchy snow is possible but not likely, as the NWS calls for just a 20% chance. Temperatures will climb to just above freezing, while moderately strong winds will gust up to roughly 22 mph.
