GILLETTE, Wyo. — CAM-PLEX is preparing for the 75th anniversary National High School Finals Rodeo, which will take place July 16 to 22 this year.
CAM-PLEX Executive Director Aaron Lyles sent out an email this afternoon requesting volunteers.
He said the facility will need 600 volunteers for the event.
“As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to be a part of one of the largest and most prestigious rodeos in the nation featuring 1,700 contestants from 44 states, 5 Canadian provinces, Australia, Mexico, and New Zealand. … Volunteering for this event offers you the opportunity to meet new people and be a part of a team that is dedicated to positively impacting our community and youth from across the nation,” Lyles said in the email.
He said the CAM-PLEX anticipates more than 10,000 people will attend the event as guests.
Volunteers will receive a T-shirt to wear during their shift and two tickets to any rodeo performance per eight hours that they work. The short go performance is the sole rodeo performance that volunteers can’t get free tickets for.
Volunteers don’t need experience with rodeo to participate, as they’ll attend orientations.
Those who are interested can click the Volunteer Profile Link to sign the waiver, update their profile, find jobs and choose shifts.
