Laura Danielle Schelling-Kenway: 1990 – 2023
Laura Danielle Kenway went home to be with the Lord on January 23, 2023.
Laura was born on February 3, 1990 to Gary and Evonna Schelling.
She is survived by her husband, Chris Kenway, her father, Gary Schelling and siblings Ryan (Tammy) Schelling, Ami (Tristan) Hanson, Bethany (Levi) Mueller, grandparents Ken and Lois Schelling, as well as a multitude of beloved nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Laura attended Moorcroft Christian, Elementary and Jr./Sr. High Schools where she was always known and loved by classmates and teachers. In school and beyond, Laura was known and cherished for her vivacious spirit, her quickness to smile and create smiles around herself and, especially, her love and concern for those around herself.
Laura carried a light in and around herself that she didn’t always see, but those that knew and loved her saw reflected in her presence.
Laura had the spiritual gift of “helper”. There were no types of help Laura wasn’t happy to give. She loved to learn how to do new things and was such a blessing to people around her. She loved to create and build many lovely gifts and keepsakes out of wood and with photography. Laura had a spirit of industry and truly enjoyed cutting wood and collecting furniture pieces to be renovated.
Laura had a love for the Lord, her family and friends and her animals. Laura will be deeply missed by her family on earth, though we know she is now being lovingly embraced by her family in Heaven.
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” Psalm 147:3
Laura was preceded in death by her mother, Evonna (Blakeman) Schelling; sister and angel nephew Andrea and Cyrus Mills; grandfather, Kenneth Blakeman; grandmother, Fern (Cordingly) Blakeman; and her cousin, Heather Blakeman.

Beverly Anne Morgan: April 23, 1940 — January 26, 2023
Beverly Morgan, 81, of Inman, South Carolina, formerly of Gillette, Wyoming passed away at her home on Monday, January 23, 2023. Beverly “Bev” A. (Freese) Morgan was born April 23, 1940, in Buffalo, Wyoming, at her grandmother’s home to loving Christian parents, Myrle Irene Gillespey and William Merrill Freese of Story, WY. Her maternal grandmother, Vie Anna Montgomery, was a mid-wife and delivered her. Beverly died January 26, 2023, in the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Melinda and Dan Boyce, in Inman, SC.
Bev grew up in Story, Wyoming, and loved to sing. She was an alto in the highest chorus in high school and harmonized until she died! Bev was outgoing all her life and enjoyed ice skating, riding horses, and was a caller for local square dances. Bev graduated from Sheridan High School and Montana Institute of the Bible. She married her childhood sweetheart, Marshall Jerome Morgan, on July 23, 1960, in Story, WY, at Story Chapel. They only had a few clothes and five dollars in their pocket when they married. She was driven to her wedding in the family car – a black hearse.
After marrying Marshall, they lived in eastern Virginia for two years when her husband was drafted in the army. Following Marshall’s service in the army, they lived for most of their lives on a parcel of the Morgan family ranch south of Gillette, WY. Her husband made this land into the “Morgan Trailer Court.”
Marshall and Beverly had four children – Mark, Merrillene, Michelle, and Melinda. They “adopted” numerous friends as family; most recently; Maria Huang, and Denise Sweat.
Bev modeled the Proverbs 31 woman. She was a housewife and babysat numerous children. She was a cook, hotel worker, secretary, and IGA baker in Gillette, WY. She performed all aspects of care for her paralyzed mother-in-law and helped take care of her own mother, Myrle. She was there for her sister’s (Pat) family after her tragic death and afterward was an outspoken advocate and then President of the local MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) organization in Gillette. Bev and Marshall moved to Wright, WY, where she was employed at Wright High School as a cafeteria worker, and then to Buffalo, WY, and Glenrock, WY.
She and her husband lived 2 ½ years with their daughter in Sidney, NE, to help care for their two grandchildren. They also lived in Torrington, WY., Morrill, NE, and Inman, SC.
Bev loved her grandchildren and had “sleep-overs” with little tents, and sleeping bags for extended stretches of time. She loved baking, playing, and singing and reading with them. Bev enjoyed sewing, knitting and made each grandchild a crocheted, original blanket. She loved her family and friends and showed it by sending homemade goodies, calling, writing letters, sending cards, visiting, and spending time with them. She enjoyed tracing her family’s genealogy with other family members and helped create binders of family history for all to enjoy. Bev was always ready for an adventure! She made notable trips to the Grand Canyon, Niagara Falls, Hawaii and the Bahamas.
She developed dementia and Parkinson’s disease in her later years and had to move to South Carolina to be near her daughter Melinda for care. Despite these diseases, Bev continued to have a sense of humor and enjoyed making others laugh. She remained faithful and loyal to her Lord and Savior and to her husband Marshall until her last breath.
Her laugh, love, hugs, listening ear, support and encouragement will be sadly missed.
Bev was the last surviving child in her family. Preceding her in death were: her husband, Marshall; parents, Myrle and (William) Merrill; and, siblings – Shirley, (Velma) Gene, (Roberta) Irene, Patricia, her stillborn Baby sister, William, Robert, and Gordon.
Family members who remain are: Denise Sweat, Maria Huang; and, her four children and their children and families: Mark and Jenny Morgan – their children Joslyn (Sabine) and husband Jude Samuels, and Jazymn Morgan; Merrillene Wood and her husband, Francisco Carrasco – her children Trevor and Brienna Wood, and step-son Nemi Carrasco; Cary and Michelle Nelson – their children and families: Decklyn and Amy Nelson and Casey, Charlotte, and Cohen; Anna and Ty Wilson; and, Whitney Nelson; and, Melinda and Dan Boyce: Step- grandchildren Hannah, Jennifer, and Joshua, and 9 step-great grandchildren.
Together Marshall and Bev had 80 plus nieces and nephews that she loved very much.
