Campbell County Fire Dept. Report (1/17/2023): Firefighters seal diesel tank hole after spill

GILLETTE, Wyo. — The Campbell County Fire Department responded to the following incidents on Tuesday, Jan. 17:

  • At 6:31 a.m. to Force Road for an emergency medical response.
  • At 6:45 a.m. to Echeta Road for a two-vehicle collision with injuries.
  • At 11:32 p.m. to Almon Drive for an emergency medical response.
  • At 12:32 p.m. to Mallard Drive for an emergency medical response.
  • At 3:35 p.m. to Warrior Road for an emergency medical response.
  • At 6:58 p.m. to the 400 block of Boxelder Road for an automatic fire alarm activation.
  • At 8:00 p.m. to Breen Road for a large diesel fuel spill from a stationary tank. The company responsible for the tank transferred all remaining fuel out of the tank. Firefighters sealed the hole in the tank and determined that the spilled fuel would not flow beyond the immediate area.
  • At 9:33 p.m. to the 900 block of Mountain Meadow Lane for a carbon monoxide investigation.

Year to date, the Campbell County Fire Department has responded to 126 requests for service.
