GILLETTE, Wyo. — Campbell County School District’s board has decided it will not reschedule an interview with candidate Bob Jordan, who is recovering from a Jan. 16 crash at Boxelder Road and Burma Avenue.

Jordan was unable to participate in today’s Board of Trustee’s candidate interviews as he is at Campbell County Health recovering from the crash.

Jordan told County 17 at about 3:15 p.m. Jan. 17 that he asked to reschedule the interview and would attend another interview, later this week, if possible.

Chair Anne Ochs said the board is declining to reschedule the interview, as it would be too difficult to get trustees back together for another meeting this week.

School Board Trustee Dr. Joseph Lawrence, who was present when County 17 asked Ochs whether the board would reschedule Jordan’s interview, said he’s working this week.

Ochs said the board needs to stick to its timeline, and there needs to be an orientation before the new school board member is added to the board.

Jordan said he’s relieved he doesn’t need to go to Denver for medical care for his heart.

Campbell County School District received applications from nine people for former school board member Ken Clouston’s seat. All other interviews were conducted today.

The decision on which candidate should be added to the board should be announced this afternoon.
