GILLETTE, Wyo. — City Council appointed Nathan McLeland to fill the Ward III vacancy during their regular meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 17. McLeland was selected from a field of eight applicants who were interviewed by council during the meeting.
McLeland previously served the City of Gillette as a Ward III City Council member from January 2019 through Jan. 3, 2023. He is the CEO/General Counsel for M & K Oil Co. and resides in Gillette with his wife, Robbie, and their four children.
McLeland will serve in the position through Jan. 7, 2025. The Ward III vacancy was created when Mayor Shay Lundvall took office after being elected in November 2022.
