Campbell County Fire Dept. Report (1/16/2023): 2 dogs perish in mobile home fire

GILLETTE, Wyo. — The Campbell County Fire Department responded to the following incidents on Monday, Jan. 16:

  • At 6:14 a.m. to East Boxelder Road and Burma Avenue for a two vehicle accident.
  • At 11:35 a.m. to the 1700 block of West 2nd Street for an activated fire alarm.
  • At 12:46 p.m. to the 1200 block of Warrior Road for a structure fire. Firefighters arrived on scene to a double-wide mobile home with heavy fire and smoke throughout the home. The fire extended into the attic space and caused extensive heat, smoke, and fire damage throughout the home. The cause of the fire is under investigation and the home was a total loss, displacing two individuals and killing two dogs. The Campbell County Fire Department was assisted on scene by the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office, Powder River Electric, Red Cross, and Campbell County Health EMS.

Year to date, the Campbell County Fire Department has responded to 118 requests for service.
