GILLETTE, Wyo. — City of Gillette facilities will close at noon Dec. 23. They will also be closed Dec. 26 for the Christmas holiday.
Instead of trash pickup on Dec. 26, Solid Waste crews will pick up trash on Dec. 27 for both the Monday and the Tuesday routes, the City announced.
The City of Gillette Animal Shelter will be closed from Dec. 23 through Dec. 26. For urgent animal control issues, residents can contact the Gillette Police Department at 307-682-5155.
Campbell County Government offices and the Campbell County Courthouse will be closed Dec. 26 and Jan. 2. The landfill will be closed on Dec. 26.
The Campbell County Recreation Center will be open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 24 and closed Dec. 25. It will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 31 and from 1 to 5 p.m. Jan. 1. There will also be a Christmas Break Special Swim from 1 to 4 p.m. Dec. 23 and daily from Dec. 26 through Jan. 3.
Council of Community Services‘ main office and food pantry is closed for Christmas from Dec. 22 through 26, and Seconds on the Avenue will be closed today until at least Dec. 26 due to furnace issues at the store, the Council said in a Facebook post. The shelter & soup kitchen will operate as normal. They serve lunch on Christmas.
Rockpile Museum and the Campbell County libraries will be closed Dec. 24 to 26 and Dec. 31 to Jan. 2, 2023.
