GILLETTE, Wyo. – Public input is being sought regarding 95,000 acres of land that could be included in an upcoming oil and gas lease sale, according to the U.S. Bureau of Land Management.

The agency has opened a 30-day scoping period, during which members of the public may submit input on 115 oil and gas parcels across Wyoming totaling 95,580 acres, BLM says.

The scoping period will close on January 19, 2023, per BLM.

Minimum buds for all offered parcels will be $10 per acre and royalty rates will be 16.67 percent, BLM says, while rental rates will be $3 per acre for the first two years followed by $3 per acre for years three through eight and $15 per acre in years nine and ten.
