GILLETTE, Wyo. — As of 8:30 p.m. Dec. 15, the City of Gillette hasn’t determined whether there will be trash pickup the morning of Dec. 16.

Public Affairs Director Jennifer Toscana told County 17 that the city is still trying to figure it out, and it depends on weather. She said staff are concerned about whether trash bins will get in the way of snow plows.

She said the City anticipates publicly announcing its decision sometime between 6 and 7 a.m. Friday. The decision will, at a minimum, be posted on the city’s Facebook page, she said.

The City didn’t do trash pickup Dec. 14 or 15 because of the weather.

“We hope to work on getting back on schedule tomorrow, weather dependent,” the city said the morning of Dec. 15 on its Facebook page, www.facebook.com/CityofGillette/. “Continue to watch our page for updates!”
