Gov. Gordon: 2023 Governor’s Prayer Breakfast keynote speaker is Auntie Anne’s founder

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Gov. Mark Gordon is inviting the public to the 2023 Governor’s Prayer Breakfast, where the keynote speaker will be Anne Beiler, founder of Auntie Anne’s pretzel franchise.

This year, the Prayer Breakfast will be at Little America Hotel and Resort, 2800 W Lincolnway, Cheyenne, at 6:30 a.m. Feb. 15.

Beiler’s journey toward success began many years before she rolled the first pretzel, when she and her husband experienced any parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of a child. This propelled Beiler into years of darkness, depression, and despair, but out of her pain came purpose and the desire to persevere toward personal and professional success. Beiler began twisting pretzels in 1987 to support her husband’s vision of offering free counseling services in their community.

Individual tickets to the Prayer Breakfast are on sale today, Dec. 1, through the Governor’s Prayer Breakfast website. Tickets are $50 each and are sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

“Jennie and I are immensely grateful for the ongoing support Wyomingites have shown for the Prayer Breakfast the past four years,” Gordon said in a release. “We are eagerly looking forward to the 2023 event.”

This year’s event features presenting sponsor Rocky Mountain Power, along with supporting sponsors Black Hills Energy, Cheyenne Frontier Days, TerraPower, Western Vista Credit Union, Wyoming Downs, Wyoming Energy Futures, and Wyoming Hospital Association.
