GILLETTE, Wyo. – A Fremont County man died Monday morning after he was ejected from a vehicle during a rollover on Highway 59, Campbell County Undersheriff Quentin Reynolds said Tuesday.
Xando Reeves Three Irons, 19, has been identified as the driver of a white 2000 Ford F-150 that overturned at mile marker 78 on Highway 50 around 11 a.m. on Nov. 21, Reynolds said.
Three Irons was ejected from the vehicle and was found lying on the ground approximately 25 yards away from where the vehicle came to rest, per Reynolds.
The 19-year-old was pronounced deceased at the scene, according to Campbell County Coroner Paul Wallem.
Three Irons was part of a group of three 19-year-olds reportedly drinking in Wright before the crash; one 19-year-old was found unconscious by staff at Hanks Travel Plaza and hadn’t been in the vehicle with the others, Reynolds said.
The third 19-year-old man had been in the vehicle and was found walking southbound along Highway 59 by deputies, per Reynolds, who said the man was transported to the hospital for injuries sustained in the crash.
As of Nov. 22, the investigation has been turned over to Wyoming Highway Patrol, Reynolds said.
