GILLETTE, Wyo. – Campbell County Health will have a town hall meeting on Nov. 9 where residents are invited to learn and ask questions about the recent partnering with Aligned Providers Wyoming.

The meeting is scheduled for 5 p.m. in the 5th-floor classroom at Campbell County Memorial Hospital where CCH and APW leadership will be on hand to address any questions and concerns that may exist about the partnership, per a Nov. 4 release from CCH.

“We want you to have the opportunity to hear about this change directly from the APW team and have the chance to ask questions of them,” CCH said in the release.

The agreement with APW takes full effect in January of 2023; the organization will take over management of the CCH hospitalist program and emergency department.

The partnership was recently announced by the health organization in a news release and is expected to change the way both the hospitalist program and emergency department are staffed.

According to CCH leadership, the new partnership will bring more nurse practitioners and physician assistants, a move that should free up time for doctors to spend on more serious patients without them feeling a need to check on lower acuity patients.

Additionally, the partnership reportedly did not lead to anyone being fired or any pay cuts, according to CCH, which says all existing physicians were offered contracts at their current pay rates through APW.
