GILLETTE, Wyo. — Boys & Girls Clubs of Campbell County is hosting a dodgeball tournament Oct. 30 to raise money for its programs and youth in need.
Executive Director Nathan Grotrian said team registration is still open and if need be, teams can sign up the day of the tournament too, if they arrive during the registration window. Registration starts at 8 a.m.
Thunder Basin High School, at 4001 Saunders Blvd., is hosting the tournament, which begins at 9 a.m. Winning teams will receive T-shirts and prizes, and there will be a uniform contest.
The organization invites residents to come out and watch the competitions too. Spectators should bring either a $3 donation or a non-perishable food or personal hygiene item for the Council of Community Services.
While the organization has already printed its shirts and sponsorship banner, the organization is still accepting sponsors and would recognize businesses that would still like to sponsor the event, Grotrian said. Businesses interested in sponsoring can call him at 307-685-1050. He said leaving a voicemail at that number is fine. Businesses can also contact board members or reach out through Facebook, he said.
Registration is $150 per team. Teams need to have six players. There can be two alternate team members, whose costs would be an additional $20 per person. Sponsorships are $250 or $400. Registration forms are here.
