GILLETTE, Wyo. — Library fans around Campbell County can join in a statewide celebration of libraries today, library staff said.
Wyoming Libraries Snapshot Day is a celebration of the impact the state’s libraries have on Wyoming residents every day, according to the event website. It’s a project of the Wyoming State Library and the Wyoming Library Association.
To participate, library patrons can fill out sheets at the libraries, responding to the question “Why is the library important to you?” and leave them in boxes at the library, Campbell County Public Library Adult Program Coordinator Genevieve Schlekeway said. Or, they can answer that question by commenting or posting a photo on the libraries’ Facebook and Instagram posts regarding the event, she said. She said patrons can post pictures of themselves hanging out at the libraries.

She added that library staff will take event photos at both libraries and send them to the state.
