Whiskey Experience Looking to Impress Ticket Holders

Local Gillette resident Harvey Jackson is promoting an unforgettable whiskey experience right here in his hometown of Gillette, Wyoming. Driven by his obsession with the culture surrounding whiskey and a dream of gathering people together for an unforgettable experience, the idea of Grit & Gather was born. Ticket holders to this event will enjoy an evening of whiskey, food, cigars, and live music, with the opportunity to explore over 80 different kinds of whiskey from around the world and local to our home state of Wyoming.

Set in an old chapel of the Prairie Sky Venue, the night’s main event will be an impressive list of bourbon, scotch, rye, sour mash straight, and flavored whiskeys to explore. They’ll feature fan favorites like High West, Smoke Wagon, Basil Hayden, Jefferson, and more. Patrons lucky enough to snag a VIP ticket before they sold out will be able to sample some hard-to-find bottles, such as EH Taylor, Orphan Barrel, Coy Hill, and Weller, to name a few. In the venue’s lower level, nine whiskey makers from Wyoming will be ready to visit one-on-one about the whiskey they craft and the passions behind every drop.

The event has also partnered with multiple other local businesses to bring its event to life. “I have a great team of partners skilled at their craft. With the help of the Prairie Sky Venue, Ginners, and the Rail Yard, the night of fun, food, music, and whiskey will be an epic night to remember.”

Grinners Bar & Liquor will have an on-site liquor store, offering an opportunity to buy once you try. They’ll also have cash bars throughout the event for the non-whiskey drinkers and one of their very own mixologists in a smoke cocktail room, crafting smoked whiskey-influenced cocktails such as their Smoked Chocolate Old Fashion. Since smoke is a favorite pairing to whiskey, Grinners will also offer a cigar station for a selection of cigars, cuts, and lights for anyone lucky enough to indulge. Upper and lower cigar areas will be perfect for sitting and visiting with friends while enjoying a relaxing smoke.

It was essential to Grit & Gather to immerse the local community and Wyoming pride in their event. The Wyoming Distillers Guild is dedicated to the advancement, unity, and long-term health of the Wyoming craft distilling industry and is a not-for-profit that will benefit from a portion of ticket sales. Local distilleries, including Single Track Spirits, Pine Bluffs Distilling, Just Ledoux It, Arcola Distillery, Cowboy Country Distilling, Backwards Distilling Co, Gannett Peak Whiskey, Brush Creek Distillery, Kyodie Whiskey, and Wyoming Whiskey, will be sampling their whiskeys and even crafting small cocktails in a relaxed, cozy environment.

Rail Yard Bar & Grille will be the exclusive food partner. Wyoming restaurateur Chris O’Brian has crafted a menu to complement the whiskey-tasting experience, featuring a unique culinary experience including smoked sirloin, meatballs, bruschetta, marinated beef & more. Multiple charcuterie arrangements with cured meats, fruits, aged cheese, fruit jellies, bread, and crackers will be scattered throughout the venue.

Local musicians Kellen Smith and the Miller Creek Band will be filling the upper floor of the event with live music throughout the evening.

And just when it seems they’ve thought of everything, to provide the highest amount of convenience and safety for their community, Grit & Gather partnered with Visit Gillette-Wright to offer safe rides to and from the event, with multiple pick-ups and drop-off points throughout the night. A complete safe ride transportation schedule is listed on their website, with pick-up points at Grinners and Arbuckle Lodge, the exclusive hotel partner offering deals on rooms for all Grit & Gather attendees.

The event still has both whiskey tickets and +1 guest tickets available, with only 50 left before hitting capacity. General admission tickets are $99 each and cater to the whiskey lover, giving you access to tasting over 80 kinds of whiskey along with all the other event features. Not a whiskey lover or going along to be the designated driver? Then the plus-one guest ticket at only $49 is for you. You can enjoy the incredible food offerings and cash bars, the cigar-only outdoor areas, live music, and the lower-level smoked cocktail room.
