GILLETTE, Wyo. — Gillette Police Department personnel are expected to be around Pathfinder Circle for several hours today, the City of Gillette announced in a news release at 11:39 a.m.
There is no danger to the public, the release said. Gillette police activity relates to the department’s investigation of Irene Gakwa’s disappearance, according to the release.
“Analysis of evidence has led to the development of additional cause to return to the residence that Irene shared with Nathan Hightman,” the release said. “Detectives applied for and were granted additional search warrants to further the investigation.”
Gakwa, 32, was last seen in a video call with her parents on Feb. 24, the release said. Her brother reported her missing to the Gillette Police Department on March 20.
“Information obtained through investigation suggests Irene went missing under suspicious circumstances,” the release said.
Anyone with information regarding Gakwa’s disappearance should call the Gillette Police Department at 307-682-5155.
Pathfinder Circle is near the intersection of Warlow Drive and Gurley Avenue.
