GILLETTE, Wyo. — The Campbell County Fire Department responded to the following incidents on Wednesday, Sept. 28:
- At 12:30 a.m. to the 1700 block of West 2nd Street for an activated fire alarm. There was no fire, the system was activated by cooking smoke.
- At 4:34 a.m. to South Douglas Highway for an emergency medical response. Firefighters provided patient care on scene.
- At 7:14 a.m. to Church Avenue for an emergency medical response. Firefighters provided patient care on scene.
- At 1:22 p.m. to West Boxelder Road for an emergency medical response. Firefighters provided patient care on scene.
- At 1:34 p.m. to the 2700 block of South Douglas Highway for a report of a commercial fire alarm. The cause of the alarm was someone working on the alarm system and there was no fire.
- At 2:14 p.m. to West Lakeway Road and 4-J Road for a vehicle fire. Firefighters arrived to a fire in the engine compartment of the vehicle. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire and contained it from spreading into the interior. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
- At 3:54 p.m. to Beaver Drive for an emergency medical response. Firefighters provided patient care while on scene.
- At 9:07 p.m. to Double Tree Road for an unknown type of fire. Firefighters found the controlled burn in compliance with county burn restrictions.
- At 9:58 p.m. to Rohan Avenue for an emergency medical response. Firefighters provided patient care while on scene.
- At 10:19 p.m. to the 1700 block of West 2nd Street for a report of a commercial fire alarm. Units were cancelled prior to arriving on scene.
Year to date the Campbell County Fire Department has responded to 2,037 requests for service.
