GILLETTE, Wyo. — A public hearing for the 2024 International Pathfinder Camporee has been pushed to November, according to the Campbell County Commissioner’s Office.
As of Sept. 27, the meeting originally scheduled for Oct. 5 will now take place on November 14 at 6 p.m. at the Cam-Plex Energy Hall Ball Room, where officials will be available to offer information about the camporee and answer questions.
The date change was done to provide all entities the opportunity to attend the public forum, per the commissioner’s office, which says representatives from the commission, multiple county boards, the Campbell County Chamber of Commerce, Cam-Plex, and the Convention and Vistors Bureau plan to attend.
An electronic survey is currently available for residents regarding the camporee and will remain available until November 4 in preparation for the forum.
The camporee is a six-day international religious festival put on by the Seventh Day Adventist Church that is expected to bring tens of thousands of people to Gillette in 2024.
The event will be closed to the public as attendees, consisting mostly of minors, camp out at the Cam-Plex.
